Talk: Level up your approaches to Test Coverage
I have been working in Quality Assurance for more than 8 years. I have quite a lot of experience in test automation, performance testing, managing and leading a team. Moreover, I released open-source software that's called "PMetrium Native", which I presented in TestingStage 2022. Now it's time to move on and look at other things.
Talk:Level up your approaches to Test Coverage
Unquestionably, Test Coverage is quite an arguable topic. When it comes to how and what to measure, and what type of Test Coverage to take as a baseline when we have a few of them, there is no simple answer. Of course, 100% of Test Coverage does not guarantee you an absence of defects in your code. At the same time, I think you would agree that 80% of Test Coverage is much better than 20% or even zero. It gives you some level of confidence about your product and is an essential part of your quality gates. I suggest you look at Test Coverage from a different angle, to level it up! We will speak about what is Test Coverage, how to measure and automate it, how to merge results from different test suites, and how to track your coverage on a timeline.
