ISTQB® is now introducing the CTFL® Specialist Automotive Software Tester 2.0 (CTFL-AuT).
This speech explains in detail some selected topics of the ISTQB® CTFL® Specialist Automotive Software Tester 2.0 (CTFL-AuT). See also ISTQB Website.
After introduction and motivation we start our journey through the syllabus with a selected concept from the chapter “Standards for testing of E/E systems”. First the traceability and consistency concept is explained by Automotive SPICE® 3.1. Based on this concept “Requirements-based testing”, which is widely used in Automotive Software Testing, is introduced. In addition to this we explain test metrics for requirements-based testing, which are used for progress monitoring. In the 2 nd path we start again in the chapter “Standards (…)” with the explanation of the “verification strategy”. Based on the verification strategy concept we explain in detail the cornerstones of a possible verification strategy for Unit verification: Dynamic testing, Reviews, tool-supported static analysis (incl. MISRA C 2012) and module evaluation and their complementary interactions based on the chapter “Automotive-specific static and dynamic test techniques”. The journey terminates with enumeration of topics, which could not be explained in detail. (A mind map is used for guidiance and visualization of the selected paths through the syllabus.)
